Crow's Feet Sockets and an Impact Wrench

I've got a seized nut on the fuel line of my girlfriend's volvo. I've tried about 10 gallons of PB Blaster, cleaned things up real nice with a wire brush, and tried a breaker bar. I'm thinking it's time that I take the plunge and buy an impact wrench to get it off, not to mention that it'll be useful to have around in the future regardless.

Anyways, my question is this: I have to use some crow's foot socket fittings that look exactly like these ones. Will these work with an impact wrench? I know that the fitting should be the same as your average socket wrench, but I didn't know if the weird set up with the wrench out to the side would cause some problems. When I imagine it, it seems almost stupid to even try it that way.

So feel free to let me know if these would work, or if you guys know any place I can find crow's feet sockets that would work with an impact wrench.

Thanks a ton in advance.

Re: Crow's Feet Sockets and an Impact Wrench

http://www.ebay.com/ Search for a 6 point crowsfoot with a slit in the side. The type you are using won't work on a corroded fuel line. Buy good quality they fit better and are more likely to work.
http://www.snapon.com/ has cheap shipping and good quality products. I've tried cheap quality line wrenches and they aren't sized properly and will round off the head.

The crow's foot attachment should not be used on an impact wrench especially when working on a fuel line . You could break the line splashing fuel into a potential sparking situation . The crows foot attachment is also likely to fly off the impact wrench and damage anything it comes in contact with ( perhaps you ? ) . You should get a proper sized good quality line wrench . Anything else is likely to round the fitting off making the removal even tougher ! Crows foot wrenches are really designed to fit on a ratchet and used where the space is limited and a traditional socket won't fit because it is too wide . Remember - this is a fuel line and potentially very hazardous to your health ! If you don't have the proper tools for the job , I strongly recommend letting a professional do the job ! It might be cheaper and safer in the long run ! I mean no offense to you nor your mechanical skills ! We just want you to be safe ! Good luck !
