Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 FIAT 2009
Sandro - you do such clean work on your motoGP bikes. Please continue with the WIP's and the pictures. Also I think the "white" tire stripe "soft" compound needs to be toned down a little bit - it is too bright of a white. Just a suggestion - John

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 FIAT 2009
Thanks John, I used this photo as a reference to the track in the tire, and she seemed quite white.

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 FIAT 2009
Sandro - looks very good - love the helmet detail and finish - regarding the white stripe "soft" tire markings - I meant the "white" color should be flat in color and the pictures made the white look glossy. Maybe it was just the pictures with the flash that gave the appearance. Your attention to detail is fantastic and your MotoGP bikes are some of the best seen here on the Forum. Thank you for sharing your WIP and all the pictures you have included - John

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 FIAT 2009
John, the drive chain was top studio, since the adhesive wheel was Hasegawa, and helmet decals are Tamiya.
This was the material used to make the track. ![]() More photos of the finished model. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I bought an acrylic base to put the model, which was very good. I attended an event this weekend here in Sao Paulo - Brazil, which was awarded as the best model of Yamaha motorcycle. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sandro |

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 FIAT 2009
Sandro - did you have any special technique for building the Top Studio chain? I have been having nightmares trying ton build one. Also you have finished another masterpiece - you and Andrea have raised the standard for motorcycles on the forum - Congratulations on your finish at the contest. - John

Re: Yamaha YZR-M1 FIAT 2009
Hello Sandro
I saw you have removed the tamiya screws from the side fairing. How did you connect the side fairing to the front cowl? |
