Funny considering we know how good an F1 GTR sounds that all you can hear is transmission noise compared to the others.

Andy is a lucky guy. For most of us driving a Mclaren in video games is the closest we will ever get!
It would have been a great sight to see 13r cruising around the landmarks of London. Thankfully the car has such an active owner who gives it plenty of use!

You are sitting inside an un-sound-proofed ex-racecar with a straight cut gearbox not far from you and the whine from inside the car will try to drown out the sound of the engine - the higher the revs, the more the gearbox whine [hence the need for headphones]

You don't get to hear the gearbox sound so much if you are outside the car, as the engine noise from the exhaust drowns it out
