Question 2003 with P1516

replaced the throttle body in my 2003 Chevy silverado yesterday evening and had no P1516 problems driving to work this morning. I did notice that the engine idles differently and was wondering if that had anything to do with "calibrating the throttle body" after replacement. I heard that you don't have to do this but if so, is there a procedure out there to follow?

this may be due to the old one being defective. disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15min then reconnect and after afew runs it should be good...

idle should be 600 rpm in drive. also the idle should not drop when turning wheels or ac compressors cuts in..

110% GM failure rate on the 2003 throttlebody drive by wire units..

Re: 2003 with P1516

Thanks for the information. I will give it a try. By the way I made it in two days in a row without any errors. Very cool.
