Porsche 956 reference pics

Hi guys,

I'm about to start the tamiya Porsche 956 "Senna" version. So i'm looking for some reference pics of the engine and cockpit and exterior. Also i'm going to ad some PE detail. Tamiya and SMS have a set, but don't know witch way to go. If some of you could put me in the right direction, that would be great. So of any of you has some pics of this iconic car, please help a friend.

Best regards,
Lesley

Re: Porsche 956 reference pics

Haven't looked at them lately but I would have to guess that the Scale Motorsports set will be more complete. They did have a 956 "super kit" that was probably the best available and also included a reference CD with lots of high detail pictures.

Re: Porsche 956 reference pics

Hi guys,

I bought the Scale Motorsport PE set + dvd combo set and a book from Speed Detail. So about the engine and interior i'm all set. So thanks for the advice. One problem dough. I can't seem to find any good pics of the body. I looked around google and it's show only pics of die cast models and are no good to me. So of any if you have some good pics of this car, please post them here or place a link where to find them. Thanks in advance.

Lesley,
Check this link for a little info as well as a photo of the car.

Here are three photos of the car as well:

I may have several general detail photos of the 956 as well. If there is anything in particular that you need, let me know.

Re: Porsche 956 reference pics

Hi my friend. Thanks for the links. The only link that i could use was flickr, because you can't copy them, but no problem. I saved the link on PC and got the pics also. Thanks again. The only 2 pic that i'm looking for is from the rear and top of the car. If i have those, that would be awesome.

You can try a little 'cheating' Open the page with the desired photo (possibly with the best resolution) and save complete page. Now you have a HTML file and folder with images. Copy the photo from the folder and delete the folder and the HTML file.

Or ....keep an image editor open, go to the page that has the pic, hit "printscreen" on your keyboard, "alt-tab" to editor "ctrl-n" "ctrl-v" resize, save as...you can get it down pretty quick if you use shortcuts...eh maybe saving as web page is easier...
