Chipped wheel help!
I'm looking to buy a used V50 and am close to purchasing one. I noticed this chip in the top right in the attached picture of one of the wheels. Is this a safety issue that has to be fixed immediately? It appears to be more than just cosmetic to me. Please give any advice on how to proceed. Thanks for the help!

Re: Chipped wheel help!
Well my friend, it looks like a little bit more than just cosmetic, however if there is no air leaks and no stress cracks anywhere, than it should be o.k. to drive for a while. Just make sure that the rim does not start to fray the edge of the tire over time. Also, you should be a bit concerned about the integrity of the front end because the car might have taken a blow on that corner. Have it checked out by a Certified technician at or before the time of wheel replacement. Have a good one!
