1998 Trans Sport

How do you remove the center console panel to replace the blower speed control switch? Or do you have to?

Are you talking about the one below the radio? If so, there are two screws down low. I think you may have to open the ash tray or something. There is one on each side at the bottom. Once these are removed, you simply pull straight out at the bottom, working your way to the top. The tricky part is that the top is sorta hinged into the dash a little. When you are putting it back together, you first need to sorta tuck the top part in and then tilt it down and pop it in place. Then put the two screws back in. So keep this in mind while trying to remove it. You can't just pull the top out, it is under the dash a little. Once this piece of trim is removed, there are two screws holding the heater control in.
