How much do you think I can sell my '02 Grand AM for?
Well, ok, basically this is how it goes:
-32k Miles -Looks brand new, minor dent on the rear bumper and some scraped paint, nothing that cannot be fixed. -Requires cold air for the A/C, again, fixable. -Windows are a little fuked up on the regulators, I fixed the one on the passenger side but haven't gotten to the Driver side yet. -Silver -Bucket Seats, etc. I KBB'ed and it valued it at 5,000$. But I have been told from fellows on another forum (Bodybuilding.com), that I could probably go up to 8k or 9k based on the fact I have such low mileage, and it's in great condition. The previous owner pretty much used it as a smoke room because his retirement home wouldn't let him smoke in it. I was looking to sell it and replace it for an Eclipse GT, I am tired of driving around the Grand AM and knowing that in my area SO many people have the same car, and I've never really been a fan of how it looked. Idk. I am new to this forum, just haven't used it a lot, just asking for advice on what I should do pretty much. Also, if anyone else would be free to do this... Or help me on this as well. Can someone tell me the benefits of an Eclipse GT versus a Grand AM? (Both '02 Models). I am such a retard when it comes to cars, lol. Thanks again brothers. EDIT: Oh, and MANDATORY PICTURES! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On the last picture you can see the little dent on the right side. |

Re: How much do you think I can sell my '02 Grand AM for?
With only the mechanical repairs needed, I'd say that $5.5-6k is about right. NADA guides clean retail for your car is $6,412 taking into account the mileage, V6, auto, and alloy wheels. I got $6k from KBB but don't know all the options.
Repairs to the regulators, done yourself, should only be $100-200. The A/C would likely need about $600-800 in repairs to diagnose the leak, repair and recharge. Working A/C is a strong selling point anywhere if you know what is wrong that can help with price negotiations if it isn't expensive to repair. Hope this helps!
