Radio Code for 2000 Mitsubishi Galant??

Old post, but good use of the search button. You need to remove the screws that hold the bracket it and pull the unit out. There should be a label on the top (maybe the bottom) of the unit.

Thank you. Is there only numbers our a combination numbers and letters cause others said I didn't have to take the radio completely out to see the S/N. Idk looking in the opening I see a black box with the connector cable in it with a S/N on it. The s/n should be on the radio its self? The black box with the connector begins with ”MR and then #`s could this be the s/n for the radio? Thanks again!

The MR number is the part number for the radio. All Mitsubishi part numbers start with something like MR, MB, etc. Its been a long time since I last looked at a factory Mitsubishi radio, but it should be on that same label.
