Exclamation Re: McLaren F1 GTR Driving Ambition De Luxe Edition - Help Required

Hi

Looking for some assistance from the experts and after sitting on the sidelines for a few months soaking up the huge amount of McLaren info on the forum, decide if you guys can't give me an answer then no one can!. I would like to purchase a copy of the Le Man Edition of DA, however the link i had to the old McLaren website is no longer active .

Could anyone point me in the right direction as i've searched the new updated site and it looks as if there are no options to purchase either the normal edtion of DA (which i currently have) or the Le Man Edition. Starting to panic that it is no longer available or is sold out (as i realize that there are/were only 58 copies to be made public). Should I contact McLaren directly, as the old site contained an order form which could be downloaded?. Any help/pointers in the right direction much appreciated.

P.S - Hope to get more involved in the future but just wanted to add that the amount of info/knowledge available on this forum is a credit to all contributors

You could try sending an email to: [email protected]

Beyond that, I can't assist with any leads on the book at this time, but did want to say welcome to the forum.

I have my fax copy somewhere of the invoice used for paying for my Le Mans edition of DA that I bought last year, and on there are some contact numbers that I can pass to you by PM. I managed to get #35/59, and was told by Mclaren that there were only a few left as some owners wanted to reflect their own cars chassis number with the corresponding book number, so although it appears there were 24 left once I bought mine that wasn't necessarily the case. Opt to pick it up from the fctory as well as part of the buying process as the tour is well worth it, even more so now the MP4-12C should be there. The Trophy Walkway is something else!!!

I'll try to PM you over the weekend

Thumbs up Re: McLaren F1 GTR Driving Ambition De Luxe Edition

Thanks for the welcome guys. Erik, I will try e-mailing the Mclaren shop directly although i did find a link to the shop and it seems the only version of DA available through this is the 'normal' one. Greg if you are able to provide any other contacts from your DA invoice, this would be a great help. Thanks again, regards Alan

Re: McLaren F1 GTR Driving Ambition De Luxe Edition

Hey Alan, did you ever get a copy of the LeMans edition of DA? If so, did they say how many are left if any?

Re: McLaren F1 GTR Driving Ambition De Luxe Edition

Hi All, I spoke to Henry at McLaren Technology Centre last year and he stated he had a small number of Le Mans DA left For purchase so try calling him. I rang the McLaren shop and they didn't even know it existed.

Thanks for sharing. I'm still trying to get my hands on a "normal" version on DA. Do you know if they still have one for a reasonable price?
