94 camry seatbelt warning light

The seatbelt warning light on my 94 camry stays on when I lock the belt, however, it functions perfectly when either door is open. ie if you lock the belt with the door open, the light goes off, as soon as you shut the door the seatbelt light comes on? Has anyone else experienced this? does anyone know how to fix it? Thanx.

I don't know how to fix it but on my wife's rav4, the light blinks when its buckled but it goes off when i unbuckle it. must be a toyota thing.
