Haven't been on in a while...like 6 years lol

I know, life gets in the way... But figuring as how I have some down-time, I figured I would share the tale of what I believe to be the greatest trade of all time...

First some back-story. In March, I got my old job at the pizza place I used to work for. Not really wanting to use my Civic with its 5k worth of upgrades, I decided to purchase a beater car with my tax returns... I picked up a VW Golf for 425 bucks. The thing was shot, but lasted me a month before finally dying... no big loss really. But I wanted to get rid of it as I live in a town home community and did not have the motivation to fix it. Knowing I would never get what I paid for it, I put it up for trade...

Long story short, I ended up trading for a 1996 Camry XLE 3.0. The car is in perfect mechanical condition except for a couple clunks and what not, but the body is about a 5.5 out of 10. Fading paint, a couple dents, etc... Interior is a 7 out of ten. But the engine and transmission and A/C are all 10s. Fuel economy is not the greatest, but it is so reliable that it balances out...

I love this car!

Great to hear that a Camry got a good home! Good luck with that.

yea my 97 is running great, except it needs a new ignition switch and i dont feel like tearing apart the dash and steering column to replace it. Ours is just the LE V6 and yes it barely gets 20mpg, but its reliable as day and night.
