need help
So i want to trade in my 2007 Hyundai Tiburon SE for a 2011 Subaru STI hatchback. Online it says my car is worth about 12k to 10k, depending on the condition. It only has 22k on it and it is in good condition, never had any engine problems. I need help deciding if it is worth trading my car in for the STI.

Re: need help
More than likely, a dealer isn't going to give you more than $10k for your car. They always lowball the trades.
Second, you really want to look at how much you still owe on the Tib - if you owe the vast majority of the cost of the car, don't even bother looking at trading until you're almost paid off or even paid in full. Third, consider your insurance costs. The STi is going to cost you more to insure than your Tib. How much more depends on your age, your credit (yep, you read that), your driving record, your home situation and more. Fourth, STi's require premium gasoline, and Subaru motors don't have a tolerance for ethanol over 5% so you have to find non-ethanol stations (which is NOT fun, I'd know) and then buy the premium grade on top of that, which could mean several extra dollars every fill up. If you hadn't noticed, that's gonna start adding up. Now, if you really want the STi, there's nothing I can say that can stop you... but think long and hard about whether it's really the best decision for you.

Re: need help
A STI is a nice car but like what speed said, things will start to add up quickly. Can't think of too much that speed missed.
But don't be afraid to negotiate with the dealer, if you know what you're doing you might be able to get more for your trade or get the STI for a cheaper price. Also, you might want to think about waiting to get a new car until the flood is over, just a suggestion.
