Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 - roll call, pics and info

Hi all

Who else is going to Goodwood's Festival of Speed this year?

1. hurstg01 (Greg) - Thurs and Fri
2. Le Man [hopefully] - Fri
3. Patrick - Friday
4. countachal - Sunday
5. Lark60 - Sunday

It would be good if there are a few people all going on the same day(s) to have a mini AF-F1 meet up, put some names to opids etc etc. Le Man, Roger_ph and I did this last year and it was great; a beer in the infield and a wander around the cars

Also, we have a possibility of potentially 3 F1's being there - #27R on display and hopefully #13R [depending on an arrival

] and #16R [depending on the speed of the Mclaren workshop], so the potential for great photo's is there

one question: is it possible that after you have entered the show; you can also walk around the carparks and get back in?

Hi Patrick

Yes, you get your hand stamped on the way out [you have to ask as they may think you are just leaving not to come back]

I go back and forth alot for food, change of clothes [if it rains], more sun cream [hopefully!....] etc etc etc

I'll try to post some pics on Thursday if #27R is there then. If I get any literature on Thursday about what cars are there [are you interested in all cars, or just Mclaren F1's?] I'l scan it in for you all to see

There on sunday.Most years there are Mclarens to see
Best show of the year,well worth the 3 am drive down 250 miles!

Just outside York. Its a big drive in a day,but it's only once a year. I've done it for many years.Would like to drive down in my own GTR one day!!!!!!

Cool, it was there a year or 2 ago [static display only on the large Toyota stand], but it's got such presence it'll be good to see it again; hopefully it'll run up the hill this time
