99,Saturn SL1, Day lights are off
Hi,
Few days ago, Day lights turned off . Indicator on the dashboard was blinking once in a while. Now Days lights as well as indicator are off now. Does DSL stand for day light ? If yes, there is black unit inside the fuse box for DSL. How to take out that one. Any help/solution would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Your post is about as clear as mud. Can someone translate?

Re: 99,Saturn SL1, Day lights are off
Sorry ! I explain the issue one more time. Usually, Both Daytime running lights and indicator in the dashboard are on while driving. But Indicator had been flashing once in a while for few months. Now both Daytime running lights and indicator are off and not turning on.
I think, DRL stands for Daytime running lights. It is a five pins unit in the fuse box. I've already checked this one but it seems to be OK. Any other solution ? Thanks. |

Re: 99,Saturn SL1, Day lights are off
Do the headlamps work normally when you turn them on at night? And do both of them work, on both low-beam and high-beam?
The daytime running light module turns the headlamps on at a reduced voltage level. If the 'headlamp' symbol on the dashboard was blinking, it must have gotten as indication that the DRL module was bad, or possibly that one of the headlamp filaments is burned out. If the headlamps work at night, that would be where I would stop worrying about fixing it. At least until the guy doing the annual safety inspection would tell me I have to fix it. (In my state they usuall dont care.) |
