Re: Creation of a VW R32

Well i finally got some work done after a long break. Owning a house really takes most of your time away. I've been eager to finish something up, so i didn't start anything new as i have close to 12 wips on my bench right now.

I really thought this one was never going to be finished as i disliked the pillars and a few other things on it. But it is the closest one to being finished so i took it out of the box.

Interior is almost done. Used detail master shift knob, scratch built the roll cage from styrene rods, added seat belts (2mm ribbon) and a mixture of flocking.

Chassis with new exhaust, first time i used kosutte ginsan and have to say its a great product.

The trim was painted model master flat black laquer from ab.

And a quick mockup with interior, i was thinking of cutting the side windows to better expose the interior. What do you guys think?

PS Sorry for the blurry pics.!!

Re: Creation of a VW R32

That golf is looking great!

About the window...what about just cutting the one on the driver side?

Re: Creation of a VW R32

It is good you are getting back into this one. I think it would look cool with the drivers side window halfway down, like it is sought of open

Re: Creation of a VW R32

Just found this wip for the first time. Amazing body work and the colour is out of the world. Interior work is also well done and a joy to look at, amazing skills you have.

Re: Creation of a VW R32

I'm a fan of the opened windows, and a nice interior work definitely deserves it.

I vote for the opened windows.

Looks great. I really like that color on a MK4. My vote is to open the windows so you can show off that amazing interior.

Re: Creation of a VW R32

Very nice work, it's hard to believe you made so many mods looking at how the final result looks perfect.
Really nice R32, I think I would go for open windows.

Re: Creation of a VW R32

Got some better pics and got some more progress.

I went for a Blistein suspension look, still a little touchups.

Fujimi BBS LMs painted alclad aluminum and added bbs decals with a drop of krystal clear to make them look like the center badges.

Rear lights are glued in place with bare metal foil under them.

Bteer interior pic, still need to put in the hand brake.

Couldn't resist a quick mockup.

Hopefully it will be done soon.

Re: Creation of a VW R32

Beautiful. I too am trying to get back into a model after a busy summer working on our new house. Thanks for the inspiration.

This build is looking great. It's also cool that we live in the same state. I have been busy like you and just picked up another model I will start on soon.
