Good site to buy a Stage 3 Clutch for a 420a

Anyone know of a good site with desent prices for a stage 3 clutch for a 1995 420a. Been having problems with tranny and it turns out that the stage 1's I have put in twice isn't good enough for my turbo. Only running 5psi, so I been told I need at least a stage 3. This true?
Thanks

Seems odd... How much HP are you pushing on your setup? Has it been on a dyno anyways? How long have these stage 1 clutches lasted each time? Is it possible that your throw out bearing isn't disengaging the clutch completely and your burning up the discs each time?... Just a few questions to bounce to get us started on the problem.

The new clutches will last anywhere from 6 to 8 months. Haven't been on a dyno but I think IM pushing anywhere between 250 to 300hp. The throw out bearing was brand new when we put in the first new stage 1. It was an exedy.

Don't buy "Stages", buy a clutch based on engagement characteristics and TQ capacity.

Even a stock clutch should last way longer than that with only that kind of power... The Throwout bearing might be new, but is it actually functioning properly is what I meant when I asked about it disengaging properly.

And I'm with Lando on this one about checking out the specs of the clutches.

Firstly, No. 5psi with any turbo on a near stock 420a is not going to be anywhere 250-300.

Secondly, a stock clutch will hold that little power with no problems.

Lastly, if you're on your second clutch in that short of time, I would say either a) you're not breaking in the clutches right and/or b) you really don't know how to drive stick that well, and burning it out way too soon.

I don't remember where I bought my Fidanza setup from, but I know wasn't from any of the 'usual' vendors.

Good to hear that I can go stock. Been driving a stick for about 18 yrs, IM a fine at shifter. Shifting is one thing I am good at. First time I have had this problem. Had a few people tell me it should be around that HP so wasn't to sure since the closest dyno around here is in dallas. The transmission was what was wrong with the car before I bought it. Don't know who fixed it cause I didn't owen it yet. Plus it makes that god awfull screatching sound until I push the clutch pedal in.

Stock crank hp is about 140, be around 155-175ish with your mods depending on numerous factors of course. Not going to do any bench racing though. A new, stock clutch will hold about 200 at the crank.

I wasn't insulting your driving, just had to factor that in because no clutch should be dying that quick. I apologize if that came off dick-sounding.

Nearly any aftermarket TOB (at least for these cars) will rattle or make some noise until the clutch is pushed in (pressing ithe TOB on the pressure plate). A scream is weird, and would get that checked out. Either something with the TOB or any part of the hydrolic system. Sounds like that may be a good place to start diagnosing the problem.

Lol just givin ya a hard time dave, all good. IM so glad I can just use stock. The prices I was looking at for a stage 3 was way to much. I'll just go up to auto zone and check on prices. I'll see if I can't record that sound it's making.
