Help Diagnose Misfire (only 2-4k RPM)
I'm looking for some assistance to help diagnose a misfire. 94 accord VTEC. Car idles great and when you punch on the gas it runs great however for normal acceleration and driving it misfires between 2-4k rpm real rough.
It started out to be only under load, so when it was in park and it was revved, it would not misfire, but now it does. Spark plugs are good. I think I've narrowed it down to: EGR passages, Distributor/ignition issue/ or oxygen sensor. What do you think? |

It could be the EGR passage, have seen that before. Is the check engine light on?

Re: Help Diagnose Misfire (only 2-4k RPM)
I would agree with checking the EGR passage ways. Seems to be a common problem. Had the same issue for a little while before the check engine light came on. Cleaned the passage ways and everything was good to go. Not a hard job.
