Wing placement??
For those of you that have moved your wing, what have you found to be the most effective placement? Also, any splitter material or attachment information would also be helpful.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Wing placement??
As for wing placement, there is an excellent thread on this forum that has placement that was backed up by some great computational fluid hydrodynamics analysis. I used the dimensions in the thread to place my wing. I placed my wing is 8" up and 9" back. This puts it about even with the roof line.
I made a splitter out of 3/8" thk lexan. It is connected to the air damn and to the under body of the car. It extends 4" in front of the air damn and then runs under the car back to the front wheel center line. The splitter is about 2" wider than the air damn on the sides. THis makes the car wider and tough to load into the trailer, but all the pictures of professional splitters extend out about that far on the sides. I used a piece of cardboard to create a template that I transferred to the lexan. The template kinda looks like a big mushroom head and stem. I used 4 ea. turn-buckles to support the lip of the splitter (ust like NASCAR!!!). The splitter is attached to the air damn using a lexan angle and a bunch of rivets. I used pre-existing holes in the frame to rivet to as well. THe splitter stiffens up the front clip of the car very nicely in addition to dividing the air above and under the car.
