International Economics surrounding the Japan Earthquake
The Nikkei is plummeting, the Bank of Japan is dumping absurd liquidity into the Japanese markets, and... the dollar continues to fall against the yen - almost down to 80 jpy/usd.

Re: International Economics surrounding the Japan Earthquake
It's a pretty sad statement on humanity that less than a week after thousands of people have died, bankers and financiers are speculating on the Yen, driving up it's value so quickly that the Japanese central banks have to step in and stop it.
There will of course be a global impact from whats happened. Prices for used cars coming from Japan will go up, as well prices for some consumer electronics. But I don't think it will be as bad as people think it is going to be, as long as people don't try to exploit the disaster for profit.
