94 caprice wiper motor

Hello my wipers went out along with the wiper pump while the car was in use. I checked the fuse it was ok. When the wiper motor goes out on these does it also knock out the wiper fluid pump with it? Or is my problem not with the wiper motor but with the wiper switch on the steering column? Anyone with info I appreciate it.

this wiper motor unit has a control board[relays] this also called "pulse board " was not a good year for GM ..may have failed. my 94 S10 the relays failed, others it is the runs on the board corrode. the relay sends 12volts to the pump motor on the washer fluid tank.

you may want to replace the washer pump at this time !!!!! my washer pump was just replaced 1996 , this was drawing too much current causing a failure to throw fluid..

So I should replace the wiper Fluid pump thats what may have taken the wiper motor out. Also where is the board located to check it's integrity. Thanks!!

this board with those relays is inside of the wiper motor housing. you replace this board .. its about 25.oo ............the wiper motor is most likely good. with the cover off tap on this board. the wiper should begin to work . if so then you know its this component.

the washer pump draws more current as it ages. replace this also to protect the pulse/control board inside the wiper motor housing.
