Re: Fujimi Fujimi what are you waiting for....

I agree with you to a point, DM. Maybe have a specific area for discussions about this type of thing? I know other forums I belong to do...

I think there is a place for this type of discussion. As I said, I think it may not be on the "general" board but more of it's own niche somewhere in the corner where you wouldn't notice it...

There is to be a give and take here in a most general sense. However, if one decides to not give much, how can he be faulted? It's not the best of ideas to be that way but if you are, that's between you and God, as I say. Just my $0.02.

Daniel

(I'd post more of my builds, but my photography sucks, flat out. I have tried and tried to improve it with light boxes and what not with no improvement. When I get semi-pro shots of my work, I'll post them as I have before. I won't waste people's time before then.)

Re: Fujimi Fujimi what are you waiting for....

on a related note; I'd much rather see a kit of the MP4-12C or Lotus Evora or Maserati Granturismo.
As a car, there is something that isn't right to me about the Murcielago giving way to this compared to when the Diablo "turned" into the Murcielago. It's supposed to be and actually is essentially a totally brand new car but the exterior looks like it's just a development of the Murcie. It also doesn't look as good as the aggressive LP670SV or going back a generation the Diablo 6.0.
It just doesn't look like the new car it's supposed to be.
As a piece of brand new engineering, I love it. It just doesn't do much for me otherwise.

Re: Fujimi Fujimi what are you waiting for....

I'm sure that Lamborghini is just trying to make a consistent image for itself by reusing design cues. Porsche has been doing it, well, forever. But not everything is so elegantly beautiful and iconic as a Porsche (any Porsche).

I agree with 360spider, it's too silly to be serious and too serious to be silly. And how would Fujimi popping out another stealth-fighter looking Lamborghini be any different than Aoshima popping out another EVO or STi? I can tell you which kit has more potential, anyway...

Well, Lambo keeps making supercars and Mitsubishi is rumored to be killing off the Evo. Supercars keep on keepin' on...the Aventador is already sold out for a year, they must be doing something right.

Re: Fujimi Fujimi what are you waiting for....

i don’t think there’s anything wrong with “I wish there was a kit of that” threads per se... it just the part where you trash other people’s enthusiasms by saying “instead of wasting time with <insert something you DON’T like here>"

Personally, i have no interest in rods, American muscle cars or Japanese drift/street/tooners and _especially_ anything called Veilside. Does that mean I think that people who do are wrong? No. I just wish there was a European equivalent of Wingnut Wings (Petrolhead Plastics...?) whose mission was to make a series of state of the art 1/24 kits of so-called “exotics” from the 50s to the present day - including both McLarens, DB4 Zagato, DB5 and 1-77, Conti, Maserati GT family, Alfas from Spider to 8C, Noble M600 and Zonda...you get the idea. As it is, Revell will do Ferraris and their homegrown Merc and Audi supercars, but Airfix are never going to do 1/24, so we’ll have to content ourselves with 1/32 Scalextric-derived sports cars. But, like Wingnut, I fear that it would need an enthusiast with a big pot of money who’s not driven by the same market realities that keep us in GTRs and GTOs (the other sort). Now then, where’s Nick Mason’s phone number...? ;-)

bestest,
M.

Can't wait for plastic kits already! Just made a preorder of the BBR stuff! What a breath-taking piece of stunner! I'm sure revell will do it right if they will, but I really hope his Tamiyaness could seriously consider about this, please...
