I just bought this '87 CV. It's the first Vic I have ever owned, so I'm new to this kind of car. I have the cover removed from the steering wheel and the wires for the horn disconnected. If I touch the two wires together, the horn blares nonstop. It sounds to me like the connectors may just be stuck, but I don't know if the wiring is bad and the horns needs to be replaced. SO, I have a couple of questions:
1.) Do you think the horn needs to be replaced or do you think the connectors are just stuck? 2.) Since I am new to this car and don't know, where exactly in the front of the vehicle is the horn located? 3.) If it does need replaced, what would be a price to expect for something of that nature? |

Re: '87 Crown Vic Horn Questions...
I agree with rhandwor. The problem is probably in the contacts in the steering wheel.
