New 2005 Uplander owner

I just bought a used 05 Uplander LS with 120K and so far I am very happy with it. There are some things with the DIC that are inconsistant when it comes to instant fuel economy(It fluctuates abnormally on flat roads) and the fuel to empty reading can be 100 miles off stopping and restarting only after 1 mile driven. These are things that I can live with. I can tell the computer system is not quite up to par from my last dodge sedan.

How it runs is most important to me. And it runs and handles great.

To answer a roof rack thread for the uplander with existing rails, yakima and thule both make racks for our uplanders. Yakima lowrider railgrab towers, and the thule 450t. I am going to go with the yakima system.

I took it in for an inspection at a local shop and said I need to do a few maintenance items. I would like to do most of the maintenence myself except tires. Is there a manual out there? I have done some searches and couldn't find one. I was hoping hanes had the uplander but it doesn't.

Here's what I need to do:

1. Change Steering Fluid - anyone know how to do this?

2. Needs a new battery - Any recommendations?

3. Change Brake fluid - anyone know how to do this?

4. Needs all 4 new tires. They all have 4/32 and worn evenly which is a good sign - Any recommendations on tires?

5. The front rotors are supposedly rotten yet have new brake pads. Is this a common issue? The mechanic said I could wait until I need new pads and change the rotors then.

Thanks everyone for all the good info on here.
