2006 silverado viper security install

I have a 06 Chevy Silverado with no factory security system. I am wanting to install a viper 3002 system in my truck. I was wondering if a xk01 bypass module is what I need for the viper 3002 to work.

the OEM security system was removed ? who did that ?
