heated 02 sensor on early metro

Has anyone wired a heated 02 sensor to a early metro.

what do you mean heated? like the end is blue new on the new one? i dono about those metro's they were suppose to be throw away cars as hunter put it to us before they came out.

You can probably modify a 4-wire HO2 sensor into a 3,2, or 1 wire sensor to make it into a regular O2 sensor.

Ya that was my thought. Maybe a 3 wire to get it into a lean mode quicker. Hoping someone has done this that would know what 02 is compatable, weather the heated part should cut off after warm up or just stay on with the ignition.

Scrapper,

You do not appear to have direct knowledge of these vehicles. Your knowledge appears to be general automotive. You do not appear to have any appreciation for these cars, the people on this forum do. I am going to ask you politely to please refrain from any more derogatory comments about this vehicle that most of us who drive them think very highly of. My metro has over 260,000 miles, has been in at least two accidents, and still looks good and runs great. This does not describe disposable to me. If you can not stop making these comments then please do not post any further on our forum.
