Series car clutch removal
I'm in attempting to change out the clutch on my car and it appears the engine has to come out to get the bellhousing off. Anyone out there had the clutch out of their series car 4.6l.. I've got the trans out and the bellhousing loose and there appears there is no way the bellhousing will come out. It misses by about an inch. Any advice???

Re: Series car clutch removal
If you unbolt the motor mounts from the frame, jack up the front of the motor and twist the housing it will come off. There is def less room on the 4.6 then the 5.0 or 5.8. FWIW, I’ve done this to the two series cars we have a few times. It is actually a lot easier to remove the engine in trans in one piece and do it on the floor. Not quicker but a lot easier to re align everything correctly.

Re: Series car clutch removal
Noooooooo......
Remove the tranny tunnel from inside the car, yo may/probably have to remove the seats... Then remove the trannybfrom inside the car.... Much easier to get everything out.
