New starter spinning problem..help!

My starter quit working on my 1996 LS Tahoe and I replaced it 2 weeks ago. Worked fine everday until tonight. The starter just spins when you turn on the ignition to crank it. Any suggestions.

A bad starter drive or bad flywheel will do things like that and also starter bolts breaking or coming lose.

Best to replace starter with a new orer rebuilt.
Any oil leakage on back of engine getting on/in starter?
If so oil leak cand damage starter drive.

Pull starter and check mounting and flywheel teeth.
If good take starter back and get another one.
