Tanx Phil,

It was my first pe work and it was not the simpliest on the market ... if you look @ the front part, the lens for example are really small and hard.

For the paint, i'd painted some part but the original look of the metal pleased me on this one as i made some changes for my pleasure.

If you know a good 'how to' to reproduce seat texture, i'll be pleased.
Vin, it may sound disgusting but what works for me is to paint seats a flat color, then rub sweat on them with my fingertip till I reach the right sheen. it's not like anyone is ever going to bend over and smell it anyways.

Re: Progress' 917k N°23 / Fujimi-Studio 27

oh and did i meantion I love it? The Salzburg is my favorite 917. I've got a Heller 917K kit with working spring suspension and it looks like it'll be a nightmare to assemble. I plan on building it up as white with with "no step" and "air inlet" markings and such as you'd find on a fighter jet, and using the verticle wings with the jolly roger painted on either side... sorta like the fighters from the old robotech series, in fact thats where the decals are coming from

Re: Progress' 917k N°23 / Fujimi-Studio 27

Nice work on this 917. I'm also building the Martini 917 from 1971. It's a superdetail, but for the time being I've put it on hold. Maybe for your next 917 (Gulf) you can have a look what I've done sofar. I highly recommend the engine transkit from Historic Racing Miniatures. It's a great improvement on the standard engine provided by Fujimi. Good luck with your next build.

Eric

Re: Progress' 917k N°23 / Fujimi-Studio 27

i like your model "however some minor details i think are missing" like the black trim around the windscreen or painting the reserve wheel black under the reardeck or filling the gaps on the roof where in the daytona model was a window wich in my opinion raises the question why spend money on a detailset when you dont bother with the details you can easy make/create yourself "this is no attack on your modelling skills or your build of the porsche itself" wich is not a easy build by itself so you are no novice by my standarts, again love your build
