Smile Finished: Porsche 911 GT2 Road Version

Hey guys,

Finally finished my model after some time, and despite running into difficulties (many of them too) it turned out quite good I think. I am still a newbie to modelling, so I am still learning all the techniques and procedures, although for my second ever attempt at a model, I am quite impressed with my efforts. Now I just have to attach a part for the chassis and the windscreen wiper, and then its 100% complete. This kit was actually the Taisan Starcard Porsche 911 GT2, but I prefer doing a road version of it, I'm not a fan on all the decals :P

Major flaws with the model: The windscreen... Went to put some masking tape on it to paint the black around the windows, then removed it as there was an air bubble under the tape, and when I was peeling it off it snapped. Yes, my attempt of sticking it together failed, and basically ruined the whole model, and so did the lights. I have no idea why, but they came out pretty badly (blotchy, light and dark spots).

But after a bit of work, it finally came through, like I said pretty impressed with my second attempt at a model, so I guess "practice makes perfect".

Any comments on what to look out for next time would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've posted some pictures of how it turned out.
