1995 Nissan Maxima starter

My uncle asked me if I could help him change the starter. Could someone tell me where it is located and how difficult of a job this is.

Very simple procedure; -95 Factory Manual says this, el-30:

1 Remove air duct assy
2 Disconnect starter harness
3 Remove bolts (two)
4 Remove starter

...however, this 1-4 is dangerous process: Never touch harness before disconnecting batt cables at battery. Keep tools away from battery: short circuiting battery poles will cause an explosion.

While there, check both battery cables, often they rot in 15 yrs. Especially open/clean negative cable connections to chassis, engine block. See also multiple maintenace issues on the alternator - on my page, clic below.
