Activating CD Changer on 03 S10
OK, so I bought a aux port device to hook up my iPod to my stock radio in my 03 S10. It has the controls on it for a CD/AUX and the 12 pin port on the back, yet the device does not work. After alot of looking around, I found out that some CLass II radios did not have the CD changer "activated". The dealer wants a minimum $95.00 to do this cause you need a GM tech tool to re-program the radio, and even that is apparently no guarantee....
Anyone else run into this before or have any ideas? Thanks. |

Re: Activating CD Changer on 03 S10
yea... dunno much about the factory stereo, but if they say it needs the tech scanner, it's def a dealership job. call around to some local shops and see if they have the tech scanner. might save ya a couple $
