Fouling spark plug and missfire

So I am working on my cousins 98 Kia sportage 4x4 it was sitting for 2 years because it failed smog and it had a bad missfire, originally I was going to pull the head off because I thought it had a bad valve, I was told there was oil all over one of the spark plugs came to find out it was just a leaking valve cover gasket fixed that problem hasn't returned.

So far what I have done is replaced valve cover gasket, spark plugs ,fixed a few vacume leaks and swapped ignition coils around to see if the missfire change location, everytime it is the number 2 plug and it gives me a missfire code for the number 2.

To me it seems to be a faulty injector because it's carbon foul every time it always look like someone just painted the bottum of the plug with some black paint.

But I wanted to get some advice on what I should try next ect.


Also to change the injectors or take them out I have to take the entire top end of the engine apart or am I missing something here? Also would it be worth tryng to take the injector out and cleaning it or do I have to replace it?

Stick a vacuum gauge on it and see how it reads. Also, do a compression test.

Injectors canbe rolled just like COP's, Spark plugs, and wires during troubleshooting.
A clicking sound, or an injector signal isn't a good enough test.
A Local diesel shop can micro bath, blowout, and test the flow rate.

Ok so new problem, I planned on giving up and taking it in to a shop but now the kia randomly starts clicking and flashing all the dash lights, at first I thought the hazzards were stuck on but it's not and it continues to do this without the key in the ignition, I can make it stop bye turning the ignition on and off randomly.
Could this be a problem with the computer?

warning lights going "hay-wire" can cause by BCM or other failure or even weak battery. check the battery to make sure it has enough power to run accessories. with misfire code, sounds like you may have clogged injector. try seafoam and good fuel injector cleaner in your gas tank and drive the vehicle for period of time. if the vehicle has been parked for two years, you may have water buildup and also gas may be "bad" which can cause lot of issues for fuel system.

Yea I think it was just a low battery ty seems fine now after throwing it on the charger. I switched the injectors around to see if the missfire would change cylynders last time I changed spark plugs and I flushed the gas but no change.
