Exclamation Driver Side Sliding Door Problem

Hello,

Today I went to my 2000 ford windstar SEL from work to try to open the power sliding door to only have it open about 16 inches I tried to open it more and saw the cable drooping from the back of the van! it would not go anymore open so i tried to close it and that was not easy to do. After getting it closed i noticed that the black plastic on the cable has come off of some of it towards the back of the van . So I'm guessing that some of it is stuck in the track maybe? i guess my question is I need the step by step instructions on how to open the compartment to get to this mess and also how to fix it. Also even though the cable has the plastic missing on some of it is it still useable? or do I need to replace the cable? I don't know the name of this cable so if I have to get this from the ford dealer can someone give me a part number or the proper name of it? I also looked at the passanger side at that cable and that one as well is starting to dry rott. So I guess that I should do both sides then?
