the 160 amp has a stator stripe down the center where the cases join. the 136 amp's case just looks like a cage. mike

Thanks for all of the responses, now I just have to wait for the gauges light to come on or keep firing her up, turning on AC and lights, and hope she responds with low voltage reading(I would almost bet the farm that it is the Alternator).
