Power Windows
Haven't been around for awhile, the Taurus has been running good. We have a 2000 with power windows and they have quit working along with the interior light and the trunk light. Cannot find any info in the owners manual re the location of the fuse for the windows. We did a search here but didn't come up with the answer. Can someone help us.
Thanks, Roy

Re: Power Windows
Did you look under fuses in the Owners manual?
If no manual, there's a bunch in the glove boxe's at LKQ. or, http://www.alldata.com |

Re: Power Windows
Thanks for the lead, will check alldata but we do have the owners manual for 2000 and there is absolutely no mention of windows on the fuse schedule ! ! ! I know it seems odd but it is not there.

Re: Power Windows
Thanks guys, decided to first check Fuse #26 which the book says is for the deck lid light (no mention of windows) and YESSS, that was the one. I was very surprised that the power windows only had a 10 amp fuse.

Re: Power Windows
Thanks for the follow-up. Hopefully the fuse just blew prematurely and not due to an issue with the circuit....

Re: Power Windows
I like using Windex window cleaner, and Rainx on my electric windows, it seems to be less resistance when going up & down.
