2000 2.4 Galant Timing Belt, Crankshaft Position Sensor PLEASE HELP!!!

I replaced the timing belt, got everything aligned so it seemed, Fired it up and it ran really rough, then it just died after about 30 seconds. I pulled everything back off and thought it was the oil pump (I understand it can look aligned but be a full rotation off) Got that strait put it back together, Nothin... just cranks but no fire

Ran the code and it came back 0335 Crankshaft position sensor
Pulled everything back apart, cleaned the part of the sensor behind the timing cover and I noticed the crank sensor blade was rubbing the sensor as it turned so tried to straiten it out as best I could and cleaned the trigger and the sensor put it back together nothin, same codes... I tried to clear it, it said code erased and sure enough 0335 as soon as I cranked it over.

I really don't know what to do at this point. PLEASE HELP

UPDATE: went to the j-yard and got a new cps sensor and ring got it runnin, the code is cleared, now it is still having some problems running.
kinda wants to stall at lower rpm. Seems to run a little rough. Ideas about the timing?

UPDATE: The car has been running fine for a couple weeks now. When pulling off the balance drive belt it is important to take the crankshaft bolt out (haynes doesn't explain this. I went to harbor freight and purchased an "adjustable pin wrench" about $3.00 used a cheater bar to wedge the wrench against the ground and the crankshaft bolt came loose ) if the plate around the crankshaft sprocket is bent (at all) it will foul out the crankshaft position sensor. As far as it running rough at low idle that was the idle resetting itself. Ran fine after driving it the 3rd time. Called the dealer to verify. Best of luck to anyone who attempts this. If I had to do it again I WOULD without worry.

Just want to confirm, I believe my daughter's 99 Galant with the 2.4L engine has only a crankshaft position sensor near the timing belt and not a camshaft position sensor as AutoZone believes. She has a starting issue and AutoZone ran code while I was out of town and said the camshaft position sensor is the problem but I think they are wrong.
