For those who are annoyed by the seatbelt chime constantly going off, go to this website-www.clickercheater.com. They sell silencing devices for $15 and they're totally legal. You don't have to worry about fumbling with wires to disable the alarm, and possibly disabling the airbag. I bought one because I travel with my dog pretty often, and when she's in the front seat I hate having to listen to the chime continuously going off-and now I don't have to. This is an awesome product!

Re: Good lord, the beeping!
I was waiting for someone to come back w/ the airbag thing lol... I didn't wanna do it, b/c that user isn't a human.. it's a bot.
I've noticed them crawling forums lately.

Re: Good lord, the beeping!
I had a similar problem that has now evolved into an even bigger one. I bought a used 90 CRX. About a week later, while driving, the door open light started flashing while I was driving along with the seatbelt light and chime. There was a clicking coming from inside the drivers door, as tho something inside was trying to make a connection. I tried everything - even took it to the bodyshop and had the door adjusted. Finally had to disconnect the buzzer. All was good for 6 months or so, then the door open and seatbelt lights both started up again, tied to the door clicking. It seemed to happen after a hard rain, and now it is happening all the time. Recently, I noticed the clicking continued after the car had been shut off. Today, the battery is dead, and I'm pretty sure it's due to whatever in the door is continuing to do its clicking.
Anybody have any ideas? I'm taking it up to my nephew on friday, and we're going to the door apart - I'm hoping we can just disconnect a wire or something, but I don't have the manual so no door diagram. Thanks for any help given!! |

Re: Good lord, the beeping!
Its probably the sensor in the latch itself. I dont have mine hooked up so it never thinks the door is open, or closed. Seat belt light always flashes though.
