That's the new factory for road car production.

Yes, next to the MTC they are building the MPC, or McLaren Production Centre. A shockingly original and well thought out name if I do say so.

A recent press release from McLaren stated they were slightly ahead of schedule on construction.

Re: Massive McLaren F1 gathering at the McLaren Technology Centre

Hello,

I don't want to create a topic fot that question :
Do you think it's possible some F1s owners would come to 24 Heures du Mans this week-end or Le Mans Classic (9/11 july) to celebrate 15th anniversary of the 24 Heures victory ?

I know Flemke was there one year but nearly nobody saw it !

Thanks
Phil

According to a friend of the new owner of GTR 16R, it should be making the trip to Le Mans next week.

and it's going to get hot and noisy in there with no air con, no vents, no opening windows and a straight cut 'box

Greg pretty much covered the rest of the details Phil.

I don't have an inside line on this one. The 16R info was posted in a thread on PistonHeads.com

But that's why it's so cool stuff. The driving GTR on the long trip...... there is needed some serious attitude of that!

These days; only Porsche does it close; GT3 RS. There is really nothing luxuries on the car. Fantastic.

That's a great shot, shame it isn't larger really.

Could really have done with more shots of the GT, shame it was such a private event.

Re: Massive McLaren F1 gathering at the McLaren Technology Centre

Was going over the EVO "opening article" again, with all the detail shots and I noticed the shot of a sticker, that's probably based on the Yale Bulldogs logo. I think the sticker's on a window; with the zoom, it's hard to tell how large it is.
Anyone know which F1 carries this sticker?

It's #040 - Flemke has the Bruce Mclaren badge on the rear of the car and has had this one in the right hand side reat three-quarter window and another [HPC - sorry, don't have a large decent shot of that which I can share ...] in the oppositie side window
