Safe to run SeaFoam?
Just curious if its safe to run seafoam? My buddies shop does it.
Ive done some research about it and it looks good. Ive heard it can cause oil leaks depending on the condition of your system. Im at 126K and think it would be smart to run some. Any of you have any experience with it?

Re: Safe to run SeaFoam?
I use seafoam religiously. techron every 3k in the gas tank, pint of seafoam in the oil 1 week before oil change. and seafoam transtune in the tranny a few days before flush. i also use transtune in the power steering before flushing it out. seafoam deep creep to clean the manifold and vac lines. 216,000 miles and still going strong...

Re: Safe to run SeaFoam?
I used to be a automechanic Prior to military and we used seafoam religiously for everything cleaning fuel injectors , oil, you name it we cleaned it with seafoam 98% of the time it imediatly showed results with no short or longterm side effects or damages.

Re: Safe to run SeaFoam?
If used correctly it is great stuff. It is also very versatile. You can pour it in the gas tank or pour it in the crankcase (like engine oil), but I believe it is most effective as a top end cleaner when added via a vacuum line. It will smoke out any mosquitoes within 300 feet of your car when you go to start it again LOL.
