Mercedes CLK-GTR

Hello,

The Mercedes CLK-GTR ran in the 1997 of the FIA GT series with Bernd Schneider and Klaus Ludwig at the wheel. With the Mercedes they managed the win 6 of the 11 races that year.

I will attempt to build this car OOB. Clean simple build.
Tamiya 1/24 kit.

This is the engine dry fit.


In these two pictures you can see all the engine pieces puttied and cleaned. Ready for primer.




The engine assembly has begun. The engine was painted and now waits for more parts to join it.

Nice start. I've always liked how the CLK looks but never commited to adding one to my collection. Looking forward to the bodywork stage.

Update:

Rear upper arms, rear uprights, rear lower arms, all painted and glued. The chassis has been cleaned up a bit and waiting paint.
