Question 2005 Mustang can't fill up with gas

I got my Mustang about 3 months ago, and hardly have driven it. I decided to take it out and fill it up with gas, well it took very little I thought and splew out all over the car and me. I called my dealer took it in and they said this is a known problem and mine had done been replaced with neck and tank. They said Ford was looking into it but seemed to just drop it. They told me to call Ford and I did and was basically told it was my problem. My car is under warranty still. I wonder how they can just act as if its no big deal even though they admitted it was a big problem? I am curious if there is anyone else who is having this problem.

Yep, same problem here. I just turn the nozzle upside down, it works pretty good that way

Re: 2005 Mustang can't fill up with gas

i too have the same problem with my 05' v6 auto. itll say that its full when i know it is bone dry and havent put a dollar in it yet, just kicks off like its full. doesnt happen every time, but happens enuff to piss me off. i have issues with high pressure in my fuel rail. i dunno if the filling issue has anything to do with my idle dropping 500 rpm and back to normal like it cycles. and i know that this is a pressurized system.
