Renault Megane Maxi 1/24

Hi guys, this is my new project, a Renault Megane Maxi.
In the original idea I was thinking to use the Fujimi road car and the Cb Com resin transkit, but it was really poor casted, and the shape was wrong especially in the front bumper.
So I the start widening the Fujimi kit and modifying the front hood and the front bumper.
Here you can see the body in progress, I spent a lot of hours in the sanding and shaping process.

At the end I am happy with the result, and I decide to open the front hood to reproduce the engine bay.
I use a Clio Maxi engine from Scuderia, like the great part of engine devices.
Here you can see the body finished and cleared using 2K clear from Lechler.
Decal are from Cb Com, not the best decal I have worked with, but at the end they do their job very well.

Next step is to find a frame suitable for Fujimi kit. I start modifying the Clio frame, it is the best choice because I can use the engine connection and I am sure that everything fits perfectly.
So I can start working with the engine bay and this is the result (it isn’t 100% accurate but it gives the idea of the Megane bay)

Now it is time to work with the engine, I modify the air box, create the two shock absorber reservoirs and add some details and piping.

Re: Renault Megane Maxi 1/24

Finish the engine I start to work with the interior, a simple work until I have to redone the roll cage.
I use different size of plastic rods and I spent a lot of hours trying to reproduce the right shape.
At the end the result is good for me, I have to cut an angle in the lateral reinforcement because the cage doesn’t fit with the body.
When the model will be assembled you can’t see nothing luckily

Here the final pics of the model

Re: Renault Megane Maxi 1/24

first of all thank you guys for the compliments!

@Borjacho: to be honest I don't count how many hours I spent on this project, because I usually work on a couple of models a time, in order to not boring me.
I think I finish this model in 200 hours less or more

@voyageur and Luis: this model is for my own collection, there is no chance to see that model as a Scuderia issue.

One of the best engine bays I have seen and yet there was no engine. Excellent work thru out. The final details on the interior and engine is amazing.
