Question about replacement fluids

The CR-V owner's manual specifies only Honda-made fluids, such as Honda ATF-Z1 (auto trans fluid), Honda Power Steering Fluid, and Honda Dual Pump System Fluid (rear differential). Is it really necessary to use these Honda-specific fluids in my 2006 CR-V?

Re: Question about replacement fluids

for warranty purposes, yes

or for aftermarket brands, the back of the bottles would have your ratings for it
