only 14 MPG on my 98 rodeo v6

I checked my gas millage on my last tank and I am only getting 14 MPG!!!

Surely this is not normal? What kind of MPG are you getting?

Is this city driving or highway? For city driving, this sounds about normal. I get 15 in town with my V-6 Rodeo.

it is mostly around town. ugh... I thought I used to get better than that, but maybe my memory is not as good as I thought. lol

Not too far off from what I used to get in my 99 V6 Rodeo.

Yea, in the winter with 4x4 on I could see my gas needle move towards empty.

My mileage improved when I changed my front O2 sensors at about 150K.

I inflate my tires to 30PSI, change my air filter every year, and dump everything I can that is not necessary out of my car (tools, boxes, bottled fluids). And I drive very NON-Aggressive. Smooth starts, rolling towards red lights and stop signs vs accelerating and stopping hard when I get to the line. Lots of little tricks to make the ride as smooth as possible and get the most bang for the buck on gas.

And the end story: I only get at best 16MPG city. no AC! flip on the AC it goes down to 14!!!
