Your nearest Autozone will do it for free. Barring that, you'd need to buy an OBD1 scanner. The plug is located under the dash, above the driver's feet.

AZ cannot do pre 96 cars. Jump a and b terminals in the aldl under the r/s of steering column. Or go to troublecodes.net for the how to.
