Re: How Many Miles Does Your Corolla Have?

I know the wrecking yard that easily sells the Corolla engines,Economy Auto parts in Muskegon,Mi and the owner Jimmy knows.Toyota is a money thief,They take the profits and retirement money over to Japan and that is 100% wrong. This is true of all forieghn car makers.Foreighn cars are very, very expensive to repair.Did you watch Extreme 4x4?They had a Toyota mini pickup with a junk 3.0 in it.Ian Johnson, one of the hosts said that they cannot keep waterpumps and head gaskets in them.A 350 chevy with a 700r4 was put in place of the 3.0 and looked better.

Re: How Many Miles Does Your Corolla Have?

94 Corolla Base: 131,000 miles. Nothing power but the steering and manual trans. Oh, and I drive it 120 miles a day now and it gets 36 mpg (going 70mph). Can't beat that for a car I paid $2,100 for.

Looking to get rid of a 95 monte z34, and was wondering when did they change motor types on these corrolla's. It seems that the older ones have the longer lasting motors. thanks

Re: How Many Miles Does Your Corolla Have?

Over 155,000 on our 96 corolla DX. Great L'l car! We like everything about it except two things --- not enough leg room for people over six feet tall (like me), and not quiet enough on long trips.

Recently we were thinking about selling it (we're a one car family) and getting a Toyota Prius but we found out that the Prius will cost us twice as much more to drive per month due to the electric bill we'd have to pay for charging the batteries.

We're happy with our Corolla!!

you'll be happy to know that the prius is not a plug in hybrid. the batteries recieve a charge from the normal driving process. the only thing that will cost you more than twice as much is the overinflated price! mike

Re: How Many Miles Does Your Corolla Have?

Sorry it took so long to reply. PBS had some college professor on saying that the oil inside the earth is running dry and all and hybrid cars are good except for the electric bill you would have. You're right though, by the time I pay off the loan, there may not be any gas left for anyone...(lol)!

Re: How Many Miles Does Your Corolla Have?

Well after a 12 year relationship, some a hole decided that I don't need my corolla any more. 193,2xx miles the car was still running awesome. Only out of the normal wear was the differential. Easilly could have done another 100k. I wanted to replace it with another one, but due to the family growing, the Corolla was to small, so I got a Honda Accord. Honda is a good car, but the Corolla easily got better fuel mileage. RIP!

Re: How Many Miles Does Your Corolla Have?

I had an '86 corolla with 360,000 on it when I gave it to my brother. It was starting to use a little oil but not too bad for all those miles.

Thumbs up Re: How Many Miles Does Your Corolla Have?

Love my 1996 corolla. has 215,000 miles on it since I bought it new. it still runs great. gas mileage is around 35 mpg. I once was thining about changing a car but am emotionally attached with it. So I am going to drive it until it can't start ( Maybe it will never happen? :-). What a car! Maybe I will buy another car some day but I will still keep this car as a second car.
