spark plugs

I own a 2000 gator, does anyone know the detales of changing the spark plugs, and which plugs are the best for it ?

If i'm thinking right it will have the coil over plugs. If this iss the case you will need a 7mm swivel socket that is fairly short. Snap-on and Mac will work but cornwell will not. Sounds crazy but there is one coil #7 that is right under the fuel rail. It the swivel is too tall it will not fit!

As far as plugs you can never go wrong with motorcraft and autolites seem to work well as well. I would not consider any other plug. You can consult your owners manuel, dealer, or local parts store for the proper application. I think the O.E. plug part number is on the emission sticker under the hood as well or maybe its the plug gap I don't remember right now.

Good luck and plan on spending at least a couple of hours bent over under the hood!!!!

OK - done that...

now my question is: I am getting bad gas mileage and it is running rough - I assume that one or more of the coils is not on the plug.

how can i check and how should i properly put the coils onto the plug?

how exactly do i find the coils? they are not jumping out at me like they usualy would. anybody have any pictures or diagrams for a 2000 navigator with the 5.4 cop system?
