99 Mustang stalls during accelleration

My mustang was parked for over a year. Now that I started driving again the engine stalls when i accellerate. If I take foot off gas momentarily the stalling stops.

Recently changed the filter and removed gas tank/dumped out all gas and reinstalled.

Problem appeared to be gone but came back after driving apprx 100mi.

Any help Greatly appreciated.

Re: 99 Mustang stalls during accelleration

It could still be some bad gas or water in the lines. Add a bottle of STP fuel system cleaner which will also help remove the varnish from the fuel tank and lines.

Clean your MAF sensor with CRC MAF Cleaner. Remove the negative harness from the battery for 15+ minutes to reset the PCM (if it was not removed/disconnected during the last year of sitting).

Did you change the engine oil? How are the other fluids?

And is it the V6 or V8 Mustang?
