1999 Lincoln Continental AC issue
The AC had been working fine. Yesterday, turned on AC, started smelling a rubber burning smell - but initially wasn't sure it was me - within 10 minutes, smoke began coming out from under the hood. Cut the AC off, absolutely no problems driving the car. Took by an auto place this am. Turned Maxx AC on - everything was working fine - ran it for about 20 min. no problem. But there must be a problem or there wouldn't have been burning rubber smell and smoke yesterday. Any insights as to what might have caused this - and why is seems to be working now? I do believe in power of prayer - but doubt that's what "fixed this!!!" Thanks for your help.

Re: 1999 Lincoln Continental AC issue
First things first how can you say you believe in the power of prayer than say you doubt that is it? Either you believe or not. I had an issue you like that on my 1995 Conti, and it was my electric fan motors were functioning sometimes. These are the same fans that turn on when you turn on the a/c.
